I'm Back!

| Guardian writes "Just to let you know - Guardian is back.
For the past few months, I've been dealing with some extraordinarily intense situations of a very personal nature. Unfortunately, one of the things I had to neglect was the Internet (including both RLslavery.com and my own site).
RLslaveryOwner and I had an agreement - I would run the "day to day" aspects of RLslavery.com and he would take care of finances and such; recently, I, regrettably, had to renege on my part of the deal for a time. In any event, I am back and will now start to put out whatever fires have been set. My efforts here (or anywhere else on the Internet, for that matter) cannot be 100% yet, but I will do as much as I can as quickly as I can; please have a bit of patience if you've been having any problems with RLslavery.com in my absence.

New Site Updates

| Yesterday we had some unusual reports from new users regarding problems registering for membership. We also had another report from a long-time member regarding log-on issues. So I "took a sick day" from work today and spent the entire day at my home desk installing server and site updates, patches and tweaking the code in general for the Arena. If anything was broke, I'm pretty sure that I've I fixed it now. :)
If anyone experienced any (momentary) strange occurrences (lost pages/strange looking text/et cetera) on the site today, I apologize; I didn't want to shut down the whole site for just a little tweaking. If anyone finds that they are still experiencing any problems with the Arena after this post, please let me know.

| It has been a long standing issue with the admins here that many visitors arrive at the Arena without first visiting our disclaimer page or the main/introductory pages of RLslavery.com (all of which can be found by starting at http://www.RLslavery.com and simply following the links). Occasionally we find long-time members of the Arena who've no idea that the principal edicts of this site have already been spelled out somewhere. Soon, RLslavery.com will be re-coded to force people to visit the "disclaimer" page as well as two of the "main pages" of RLslavery.com. This 'enforcement' will be maintained with web cookies. So, soonly, there will come a day when you will be rudely "popped" over to our "disclaimer" page; this may disorient some of you. We realize that this might even irritate some of you. Try to relax, please keep calm, and just follow the links back to the Arena; it will still be here once you've clicked through the (proper/mandatory) links.

| Today (January 21, 2006) we’ve just undergone a system wide upgrade in the Arena section of RLslavery.com! You may find certain areas in the Arena looking a bit different or functioning a bit differently; we apologize for any inconvenience. We had tried to disable the site during the updates/upgrades, but, apparently, the site was still online and some users were caught where pages, writings, images and sections were disappearing on them or they were being redirected to ‘error’ pages.
